Grassroots Giving
The UFA Agricultural Community Foundation was built on the principle that we accomplish more when we work together.
Guided by our three focus areas – Educate, Engage and Enrich – we are proud to represent the values and interests of community members by investing in local programs and initiatives that enhance the quality of life in the agricultural community.
Applications for Grassroots Giving are accepted throughout the year.
Eligibility
The UFA ACF Grassroots Giving program provides funds for local programs, initiatives or events that help to support and sustain the agricultural community.
Grassroots Giving Eligibility Requirements:
- Local program, initiative or event that enhances the rural life of agricultural community members who live within 200 km of a UFA location
- Aligns with one of our three funding pillars of Educate, Engage or Enrich
- Is available and accessible for community use
- Has a positive impact within the community
- Registered charity, non-profit or community organization
Grassroots Giving does not support the following:
- Political organizations
- Religious organizations except for non-faith based initiatives and programming
- Third-party fundraisers
- Capital campaigns (we can assist with fundraising initiatives such as silent auctions)
- Medical causes
- Fundraising or sponsorship of individuals
- Programs or events that take place outside of Canada
- Recreational team sponsorships or expenses (travel)
Guidelines
Applications must be completed in full to be considered for funding. Due to the volume of requests, it may take 6-8 weeks to receive a response.
